What people say about me:

“Sophie is a genius at narrative. She can help you sculpt your raw material into a masterpiece. I’ve worked with her on everything from Hollywood pilots to Big 5 trade books. Nothing has fazed her editorial prowess.”

- Angus Fletcher, author of Wonderworks and Professor of Story Science

“Sophie is an editor with keen intelligence and sound judgment. I came to her with a project of the heart that had ground to a halt after hitting a series of brick walls. Sophie immediately got what we were trying to do, even though it involved a world quite foreign to her. She knew how to encourage my strengths and buttress my weaknesses. Every time we hit an impasse, she had a clear and decisive suggestion on how to move forward. Her judgment was always insightful, always helpful, in getting me where I wanted to go. She demonstrated remarkable flexibility in helping me in myriad ways and is just plain a delight to work with. Sophie is always thinking about how she can help move the project along. Indeed, with her able assistance, we completed in a short year, in a project characterized by fits and starts for twenty years, a work worthy of our lofty ambitions and, more importantly, true to our heart.”

- Paul Linhardt, co-author of Chocolate & Chewing Gum: From Ghetto to Golden Gate

"Sophie is a game changer. She can work the way you work; she picks up on your writing style and direction and can adjust to it. She not only helped edit my book for everything grammar, she also made it better through her comments on story and tone. She's incredibly intelligent, communicative, and responsive — everything you'd want from a professional, everything you'd want in an editor. There is no way my writing would be what it is without Sophie."

- David Stagg, author of The Burning Ones
